Tutorials for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies - Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling
Studying psychology, psychotherapy and counselling, involves contemplation of our own inner world and opens up our vista to the private experiences and insights of other people; patients, colleagues, practitioners and theorists. This process is always challenging, broadens our perspective and serves as a spur to our inner growth. This is not a field of study that can be mastered intellectually - it is as much a process of intuitive and embodied understanding. Embodied learning has its own pace and students may feel they would benefit from space, conditions and understanding that will enable their learning to deepen.
The Process
These tutorials bring clarity to studies through enabling the student to find his/her unique perspective, connecting this to the theoretical body of work that constitutes the field, and enabling confident and accurate Self expression.
Tutorials are particularly useful for essays, project work, case studies, MA theses or other dissertation work. They can be used for planning and scoping your work, removing blocks to your completing your work and/or reviewing drafts of the work to improve grades. They can also assist with the design, execution and writing up of primary research projects such as MA research dissertations.
The Practicalities
These sessions are usually 50 minutes although sometimes double sessions will be advisable. The cost is £60 per 50 minute session. Tutorials can also be done in small groups where students would like to arrange themselves this way - please contact me for a fee quote.
